The End is Near

This will be my last semester working the evening shift. I am to move permanently to days when summer session begins. I can't tell you how good this feels. Working 2nd and 3rd shift for 4 years has really impacted my life and not in a great way. I'm ready to live like a normal person again. I don't know if I'll continue this blog or not. I am getting an office with no windows and low light so I could still be a vampire if I wanted, but I'm not sure. I may want to break completely away from this and start new things. I'll continue to post until mid-May definitely--if I find material. Haven't really had anything blog worthy for a bit, but if anything comes up, I'll be bursting to share. Promise.

Today was the day they officially gave me a date I could start days. For a month now, everything was in the air. I was definitely moving to days, but nobody knew WHEN. It was rather frustrating. I'm so glad to have an official date.

Super. As Woes pointed out, time for the sunblock. Hey, if it works for the vampires in the films, it ought to work for you. Anyhow, hope you keep on blogging.

Thanks, everyone. We'll see what happens. Having this job dangled before me since February has been driving my nuts. I'll be so glad when I can really start the change. Everything's been in limbo since then.

Congratulations! Hopefully you will find yourself eagerly embracing a blog-free world, only to find your addiction is too strong, like I did. Wait, maybe we're the addicts for reading it and you're just enabling us. Or maybe we're co-dependent. Whatever. I just hope you don't leave us.

HV, if you're addicted to my blog then I'm addicted to yours, so we're enabling each other it seems. :-)

Congratulations! Sounds like this is a welcome move. I work library evenings too (but not deep into the night) and it was good having the voice of the night out there. Nights are completely different from days.

If you decide to change we will miss you, but thanks for all the fish!

Well, congratulations. I hope you enjoy the switch. I personally would love a night shift. I worked third before starting public library work and would really like to go back to it someday. Glad to know there are still places I might able to do that.
