Collection Comparison
On the left, we have Mdzod bdun : the famed seven treasuries of Vajray¯ana Buddhist philosophy, vol.4 Theg mchog mdzod by Klo·n-chen-pa Dri-med-’od-zer. An unbound volume of Buddhist philosophy in Tibetan.
On the right, we have Old school, directed by Todd Phillips. The unrated version.
Guess which one is from Library X and which one is from Big Research Library.
And before you waste any brain cells, this isn't a trick question.

Old School is from Library X.
So...you're saying that a volume of Buddhist philosophy in Tibetan is more important than the unrated version of Old School on DVD?
Really, though, which item is more likely to be relevant to your library's patrons?
A gold star for Katya.
arkham, this isn't a comment on whose collection is better, just a comment on what type of collections we have.
I also just thought the two formats sitting side-by-side was neat.
Ahh, college . . . I love the duality of it. Also love the blog - one of my coworkers and I discovered it while we were on the desk one painfully slow night, and we're both addicted to blogs now!

Sorry, in the light of your post on UHF, I guess I just assumed...my bad.
I should know better.
Arkham,
No, I am guilty of disparaging our collection on several occassions, but I'm trying to be better.
